Two Hours in Iceland

After 7 and a half years of waiting, over year of saving for an amazing Iceland/New York holiday and a week of cancellations, I finally arrived back in the Land of Ice and Fire.

I was looking forward to this trip. I couldn’t wait to see breathtaking scenery, take some amazing photos and of course, write a travel blog about it this time. So, after a brilliant week in New York it was finally time to add Iceland to the website’s index…

Here’s some authentic Icelandic apparel in the Keflavik departure lounge.

We met an Icelandic troll.

And we were so fortunate to see the beautiful Seljalandsfoss Waterfall.

We got to experience the Icelandic wintery weather when disembarking the plane and whilst standing in the smoking pit.

We went to the food court to eat a traditional Icelandic meal deal.

Sadly we missed out on the Northern Lights, but we were able to catch a sunrise on the plane back to Manchester.

Before promptly falling asleep after 13 hours of travelling.

Well worth the wait. Goodbye Iceland and thanks for the memories!

If you missed the joke, this blog might explain things…
